Israeli demonstrators assembled in Tel Aviv today to encourage Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to leave after police suggested he be accused of pay off in two debasement cases.
Police said on Tuesday enough confirmation had been observed for Netanyahu to be charged, saddling the four-term chief with one of the greatest difficulties to his long predominance of Israeli legislative issues.
Netanyahu, 68, denies bad behavior in the two cases and has said nothing will happen to the police examinations. It is currently up to the lawyer general to decide if to squeeze charges against him.
Around 1,000-2,000 nonconformists mobilized in a Tel Aviv square, some with signs saying "hooligans go home" and "wrongdoing priest".
"We figure the head administrator ought to promptly preclude himself and leave," said Shlomit Bar, 63, a resigned music instructor. "He can't be any more drawn out the executive of Israel."
